Despite last minute floods the Large Hadron Collander was tested today in the rain and didn’t cause a Bing Bang, but it did create through the lack of light passing through the specially constructed reflective metal surface what have been dubbed Media Starz black hole moments. http://www.mediastarz.co.uk
These lasted only a fraction of a second before the build up hurricane force pressure shot the experimental tiny green particles at almost the speed of light through the black holes and created such a shock wave that they imploded to take on the form of mushy-pea type matter. The experiment was deemed a success and tasted ‘atomic’ said the assembled child scientists and media news assembled at the Big Bang Birthday Party. http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/
Oh the real Big Bang Experiment happens 10th September and is covered by Radio 4 on the BBC all this week http://www.bbc.co.uk/
