2008 Garden of Eden Volunteers Assemble Invitations to Ball

Sept. 9, 2008 - PRLog -- Atlanta Botanical Garden volunteers met last month at Peachtree Hills Place to assemble the invitations to the 27th annual Garden of Eden ball. Ball chairs Terance and Jennifer Fuqua Fowler and 13 other volunteers met at the sales center of presenting sponsor Peachtree Hills Place, an upscale residential community in Buckhead for people ages 55 and older seeking a secure, independent lifestyle.

The black-tie gala is being chaired by the Fowlers, and will be held from 7 p.m. – midnight on the Garden’s Great Lawn. As a special tribute, the evening will honor Mrs. J. B. (Dottie) Fuqua, who, along with her late husband, J.B. Fuqua, has been one of the Garden’s most dedicated and generous supporters. Jennifer Fowler is their granddaughter.  

About the Garden of Eden Ball

The annual black-tie gala is the Atlanta Botanical Garden’s largest fund-raising event.  The evening draws more than 450 guests annually, and supports the Garden’s mission to develop and maintain plant collections for display, education, conservation and enjoyment.  Tickets are $400 each.  To request an invitation, contact Anne Fair Woodward, the Garden’s development events manager, at 404-591-1575.
