HATFIELD, PA, – Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI) of Hatfield, PA announces two promotions to supervisory positions in the company's Metrology Department. Eva Pellow of Perkasie, PA has been promoted to Metrology Manager. She oversees all orders for calibration services and dimensional inspection, field calibration services, instrument repairs, subcontracted calibration services, and purchases of new instruments and replacement parts. Pellow started with LTI in April 1991 as a technician in the Metrology Lab, and most recently held the position of Metrology Supervisor for the past few years.
The position of Metrology Supervisor was filled by Ed Phillips of Bedminster, PA, also employed by Laboratory Testing Inc. since April 1991. He joined the company as a Calibration Technician and was later promoted to Metrologist. In his new position as supervisor, Phillips is responsible for calibration services and dimensional inspection methods and procedures, technical training, and equipment maintenance and purchases.
The company’s Metrology Department recently moved into a 6,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-
art laboratory in the company’s 12,000 sq. ft. new addition. The latest technology for lighting optimization and temperature, humidity and vibration control was incorporated into the new construction for optimum accuracy and efficiency. The Metrology Department performs dimensional, pressure, force, torque, mass and vacuum calibration services, as well as field service for surface plates, CMMs, hardness testers, optical comparators, balances, hand tools and testing machines.
