Laurie’s great voice was discovered early on in her childhood as she started to sing gospel by age five. Her ability to play instruments also started at a young age, with the piano at age 7, and later the acoustic guitar. After years of her passion for music growing, she started a band called ‘Hicksboro Station’ in 1997, and opened for many national acts including Toby Keith, Darryl Worley, Rascall Flatts and many others.
