Sept. 8, 2008 - PRLog -- San Diego, CA – The San Diego Praise Fest Coalition - a conglomerate of sponsors including 4th District Councilmember Tony Young, M.A.N.D.A.T.E. Records, Inc, the Neighborhood House Association, TV One, and fiscal agent Pazzaz, Inc. - are excited to announce the 1st Annual San Diego Praise Fest on Saturday, September 20, 2008 located in the Webster Community of San Diego on Federal Blvd. between 48th St. and Euclid Ave.

This free, multicultural, family-friendly festival is the first of its kind to be staged in San Diego County! The event is geared to celebrate the unifying power of Gospel music across all racial, demographic, and geographic boundaries; as well as provide resources to the community on topics such as education, nutrition, fitness, health screenings and spirituality.

On the three live music stages, international and local artists alike will be included in the over 30 performances confirmed for the dynamic music lineup. Headlining the event will be the nationally renowned Brent Jones & The TP Mobb! In addition to music, the festival will also feature an Open-Air Marketplace, a Kids Zone, dramatic and cultural art presentations, a Health Village, Food Court, Education Row, and Youth Enterprise Zone.

In putting together this year’s lineup, Praise Fest organizers intentionally sought out to find acts that cut across racial, social, cultural and denominational lines.

The 1st Annual San Diego Praise Fest has enlisted the participation of organizations and ministries from all over San Diego County for this historic event. Festival organizers are still accepting sponsor, vendor, and volunteer applications. For more information, go to www.SanDiegoPraiseFest.com.
