Everyday, people make financial decisions without the benefit of a financial planner. Many do so because they do not have or know someone to talk to. On September 13, 2008, the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards is holding a free financial planning clinic in Washington, DC. where they are inviting the public to ask questions of volunteer CFP® professionals.
“We see it all the time in our practices,” states Bloomfield CFP® practitioner Felicia Gopaul. “People we wish we could have talked to before they made a particular decision and people who would have been better served by being advised by a CFP® professional. Volunteering to participate in the Financial Planning Clinic allows me provide some guidance to the attendees on their particular questions, concerns and interests.”
Individuals in the Washington DC area can discuss their situation free of charge at the event being held at the Grand Hyatt Washington.
Gopaul and the other volunteers will be able to give guidance on:
• Retirement Planning
• Investment Planning
• Insurance Planning
• General Financial Planning
• Estate Planning
• Employee Benefits Planning
• Income Tax Planning
