MJ’s Jazz & Tapas Lounge, www.mjsjazzlounge.com, has opened its doors for business. The 5,300 sq. ft. venue with outdoor patio seating offers guests an upscale ‘cocktail party atmosphere’ featuring signature libations, including an extensive martini menu and fine wine list. Wine aficionados may also store their remaining bottled wine in secure wine storage lockers.
MJ’s cuisine offers an updated approach to traditional tapas presented by top executive chef, Domenica Macchia, created from a distinctly American point-of-view. The menu will change seasonally, in order to feature the freshest seasonal Tampa Bay specialties. “Contemporary tapas no longer follow the traditional Spanish varieties,” explains Chef Macchia. “MJ’s tapas will offer guests an opportunity to share and sample a variety of top-quality, inventive dishes and scrumptious desserts.”
Musically speaking, MJ’s will be the region’s premier resource for renowned and newly discovered jazz music. Selections will range from contemporary, Latin, fusion, cool, hard bop, vocal and progressive jazz music.
Tampa Bay local Mark Scott, who created the MJ’s concept club, is dedicated to partnering with the local community through ongoing in-house local artist exhibitions as well as offering a venue for local musicians to share their musical talents.
“MJ’s will be a sophisticated respite to unwind and enjoy good music and wonderful cuisine,” says Scott.
The club will host a formal Grand Opening event in October.
