Galen is a centuries old Vampire who has managed to keep his murders on the down low. However, he is now in the 21st Century where big brother is always watching. Crime is not easy to conceal and dead bodies do raise questions.
Galen needs to feed but he doesn't want to feed on someone who will be missed. So he hunts the weak, lonely and helpless. He thinks he has found the perfect meal in Brenda.
Brenda has no family to speak of, will not be missed at work, is very lonely and has dreams of being swept off her feet by the white knight on the stead. Galen uses this fantasy to seduce her.
His plan is to seduce her, feed on her and leave her. After all she will be dead. Galen always plans out everything perfectly - no loose ends no problems.
What Galen doesn't add to his equation is that Brenda sets a fire. She really starts a fire in the thros of passion.
Added to this disaster- Galen doesn't finish his feed and Brenda doesn't die, she becomes one of them. And she is not happy about it. Brenda has an agenda- and that agenda is revenge.
Added to this along comes Maggie. Maggie is an account in a large accounting firm who has been hired to manage Galen's finances. Maggie has her own agenda when she meets Galen for the first time. He reminds her of the man her best friend described before she was killed.
Maggie is also on a mission- that mission is to nail Galen for the murder of her friend.
Galen is caught between two women who live by the mantra "Hell hath no Fury."
