San Diego, CA - Last week the San Diego North County (SDNC) chapter of the CA Association of Mortgage Brokers (CAMB) awarded a certificate of honor to the Housing Opportunities Collaborative (HOC) for their outstanding efforts.
The HOC is a coalition of nonprofit organizations and agencies that have been conducting HOME Clinics for the past year all over the San Diego region. The HOME Clinic is a portal which enable the distressed homeowner access to existing resources and services.
"Thanks to the numerous volunteers this format has helped several hundred individuals stay in their homes," states Victoria Johnson, SDNC CAMB’s State Director. "This is the most comprehensive service provided to homeowners during this period of hardship."

About the HOC The HOC seeks to promote equal access to housing for all persons in the region, especially low income and underprivileged individuals and families, by educating the public concerning home ownership and landlord-tenant rights and responsibilities, seeking financial and capacity building resources, providing financial and other counseling, providing informational resources, monitoring compliance with housing related laws, and conducting related activities.
