FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRLog (Press Release) –
Sep 04, 2008 – RTI, Radio Tatras International, the leading interactive pan-European English/Slovak radio station, is proud to announce its support of A Day For Heroes.
Jan Telensky, Managing Director RTI, said: “RTI has always been a significant support of the Armed Forces, regrettably that has often been respecting the loss of serving personnel as was the case when RTI was the only commercial station in the Slovak Republic to revert to Obit Mode following the tragic KFOR plane crash. “However, now RTI can assist in a much more fruitful way and positively encourage European citizens living and working in the UK to support A Day For Heroes. We look forward to seeing many of our listeners there”. Dale Bradley, A Day For Heroes, commented, “We would like to thank RTI for being the first station to support our event on 21 September. “We are well aware that the UK is a cosmopolitan country and being able to share news about the event in both English and Slovak, which is easily understood by Czech and many Polish citizens in the UK, will widen the opportunity of increasing visitors to a Day For Heroes”. Eric Wiltsher, Broadcast Director RTI, added, “This is a fabulous event and RTI is proud to have been of help both on-air and online, including our youtube channel. RTI is not only assisting A Day For Heroes but also the London Mayors Festival in September both of which can be found on our web site – www.rti.fm. We wish both events all the very best.” As listeners will hear via the on-air, and on-line, messages, the Headline Act at A Day For Heroes is McFly with 80’s legend Nik Kershaw leading the support acts. Jocelyn Brown & Jeff Silbar will be performing 'Wind Beneath My Wings' and the Detling show ground will be packed with more family fun activities
