Join Old Colony Elderly Services at the Memory Walk On World Alzheimer’s Day

Join Old Colony Elderly Services (OCES), a private, non-profit Aging Services Access Point (ASAP) in support of the Memory Walk for the Alzheimer’s Association, which will be held on September 21st from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Plimoth Plantation.

DATELINE:  PLYMOUTH COUNTY AND AVON, EASTON AND STOUGHTON, MA.  
   
On the day of the walk, which is also known as World Alzheimer’s Day, Rochelle Sugarman, a Caregiver Specialist for the Family Caregiver Support Program at OCES will have a resource table set up to provide information on valuable programs and services that OCES offers to seniors, their families and caregivers in the 23 towns they serve.  

Event attendees and walkers will have an opportunity to learn more about enhanced care and “aging in place” programs that OCES offers which include: Caring Homes and Enhanced Adult Family Care; Supportive Housing; Family Caregiver Support; Nutrition; Money Management; Protective Services; Home Care and more.

The Alzheimer Association’s Memory Walk is geared towards raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research in addition to helping people who are currently living with Alzheimer’s.

OCES serves elders, their families and caregivers, in the towns of Abington, Avon, Bridgewater, Brockton, Carver, Duxbury, East Bridgewater, Easton, Halifax, Hanover, Hanson, Kingston, Lakeville, Marshfield, Middleboro, Pembroke, Plymouth, Plympton, Rockland, Stoughton, Wareham, West Bridgewater and Whitman.
