FT. WORTH, TX - The 18th Annual Big Band Hangar Dance and Silent Auction will be held at the Vintage Flying Museum, October 4, 2008. This Big Band dance event is the major fundraiser for the museum, a non-profit 501 (c) 3 corporation.
Enjoy a nostalgic evening staged in front of the B-17 Flying Fortress on display in an authentic WWII B-29 hangar. Swing dance or just enjoy the music of the Alan Glasscock Orchestra providing big band sounds of the Forties with his 16-piece orchestra. Plan to dress in 40’s attire or as your favorite aviator (period dress is optional). Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed.
Dinner will be served from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., with dancing from 8 – midnight. The event is BYOB with soft drinks and snacks available for purchase. Advance dinner and dance tickets are $45. Dance only tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door. Reserve tables are available with the purchase of ten tickets. Corporate tables are also available.
