The Convenience of Marriage

An upcoming exhibition of art at the Longbranch Coffee House in Carbondale Illinois will explore definitions of marriage from a perspective seldom explored these days.  Jackie and Daniel Tice are married artist that will both be showing their work at the Longbranch from October 8th through November 10th.  Jackie a painter and Daniel a photographer have been married for 9 years.  They both received a BFA in art from SIUC (1996 1995 respectively)  attending courses at roughly the same time but never meeting until the summer of 96 after Jackie's graduation.  Since then they have both pursued their own artistic visions while also influencing one another.  Often times their works are taken from the same visual reference or models to differing affect.  The show entitled “Marriage of Light and Vision” will explore the relationship between two artists, two mediums, as well as Light and Vision.  It runs from October 8th through November 10th with a reception on October 10th from 7:00pm until 9:00pm at the Longbranch Coffee House at 100 E. Jackson St. Carbondale, IL.
