Sponsors, including Krogers, Budweiser, Becks Beer, Pepsi, and South West Airlines have been contacted about he problems as have the EPA, ADA, and other enforcement agencies.    The grass roots protest is growing.

The former blacksmith of the Ohio Renaissance Festival in Harveysburgh, OH believes that ORF Inc. management plotted the demise of his business at the festival after he complained about the festival’s lack of compliance with the American’s with Disabilities act.  He claims Marietta Marcin, ORF Inc management and his immediate superior, advised him that it was none of his business.  He claims she hinted that his contract with ORF Inc. might be in jeopardy by telling him he had better keep his mouth shut.  Now he does just the opposite with a protest website at http://orfprotest.com

He claims that shortly after he expressed concerns over this and other matters, he was defamed, ordered off the site, his $20,000.00 building was taken without compensation, and his property was destroyed.  He further claims that ORF Inc. owner Peter Carroll screamed at his wife while wagging his finger in her face in such close proximity that spittle left his mouth and landed on her face.  This occurred in the setting of what would otherwise have been a civil business meeting at which the couple thought their concerns were to be addressed.  Instead, the meeting was spend listening to Peter Carroll and Marietta Marcin make accusations against the couple's business practices and conduct.

“You can’t talk to this guy [Peter Carroll] about problems.  He just screams at you and wags his finger in your face.”

Reportedly, the couple's ADA and other concerns were not discussed in that meeting because after screaming at both the blacksmith and his wife, Peter Carroll ended the meeting abruptly, not allowing the couple to speak with him further.

Since going public with his accusations, the former blacksmith claims he receives additional complaints, photographs, and other documentation of wrong doings by Peter Carroll and the Ohio Renaissance Festival Inc.  Today, accusations that the Ohio Renaissance pays little mind to health, building, or fire code are added to the protest site on an almost daily bases.  The sum total of these accusations with evidence of large sums of money flowing from ORF Inc. owner Peter Carroll to the local municipality, seems to warrant an investigation on a state if not federal level.
