Fourth District PTA offers flexible leadership training with separate sessions and locations
SANTA ANA, Calif. (August 26, 2008) — Fourth District PTA of the California State PTA will hold its annual training workshops for PTA leaders in September with both evening and morning sessions.
These workshops are structured to train new PTA leaders to conduct the business of their association, based on the guidelines of the California State PTA. Workshops are available for presidents and executive vice presidents, financial officers, secretaries, parliamentarians, and membership chairmen. Incoming presidents and treasurers who did not receive training at the California State PTA convention in May 2008 are required to attend.
To best accommodate busy parents and teachers, the workshops are available on two separate dates, at two different venues. The evening session is scheduled for Tues., Sept. 16, at the Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana; the morning session is schedule for Wed., Sept. 24, at National University in Costa Mesa.
The morning session features a workshop covering the basics of the duties of president entirely taught in Spanish, as well as a workshop for membership chairmen to discuss campaigns that work to bring in new and returning members.
Registration forms are available on the Fourth District PTA's Web site at http://www.fourthdistrictpta.org/
