Child Alert Center Charities Announces Broadcast Of “Still Missing” In Jacksonville

Child Alert Center Charities will air it’s TV show for missing children this Saturday

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 27, 2008 -
Jacksonville, FL,  – Child Alert Center Charities (CAC Charities), is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization committed to bringing awareness of missing children to local communities through public television broadcasting. Our goal is to make our shows available to 24 markets across the United States and help recover these missing children.
Child Alert Center Charities will broadcast (30) minute television programs that will display posters of missing children from the local and surrounding areas on Saturday evenings. The show will include the appropriate contact information for viewers to call if they recognize any of the children shown and/or have any other relevant information. The program includes family interviews, valuable child safety information, and awareness education.
Over 5,000 children were reported missing in Orlando every year. How many of those missing children did you see on TV? With nearly 800,000 children reporting missing every year in the United States, less than 500 meet the strict qualifications for an Amber Alert. While a large number of the children are found quickly, there are many that are not. It seems as time goes on, many of the missing children are forgotten and the burden is left solely on their families and friends to keep the hope and search alive.
Margaret Rowan, mother of John Rowan, who has been missing over 7 years says “ Child Alert Center Charities is the best thing to happen in Jacksonville. It gives all us parents of missing loved ones renewed hope of their safe return.”
Mark Arnold, CEO of Child Alert Center Charities, stated "We are very excited about starting our TV program for the missing children and their families. After meeting with many of these families, we realize that it has been the most difficult of times for them and we hope that with our program helps bring many of these children home.”

About Child Alert Center Charities
Child Alert Center Charities, the not for profit division of Child Alert Center (CAC), is dedicated to bringing awareness of missing children to local communities through public broadcasting. Our charities’ goals are to raise awareness of missing children through the media to increase recovery chances,  provide CAC services free to our active military and to educate the public and sponsors in child safety prevention measures. With nearly 800,000 children reported missing every year, we believe the promotions of these areas can make a significant difference in many lives.
