We all love to surf the web. Animal and pet sites that have message boards are always intriguing to me as I read post after post of people dealing with numerous health issues facing their animals. Ulcers, diabetes, renal failure, liver disease, skin disorders, ear infections, tumors, allergies, arthritis….and the posts go on and on. Herbs, supplements and medications are always suggested by other ‘posters’, and the blogging continues. What people don’t realize is that most of the conditions they are discussing can all be caused by one thing,: Toxicity. When we think of toxicity in animals, we usually think about our pet eating chocolate or drinking anti-freeze, but what we don’t immediately think of is all the others toxins they are exposed to each and every day that create a ‘body burden‘ or build up of these toxins. . Most health professionals, including the CDC and AMA, agree that up to 95% of all disease affecting mankind is due to toxins in the body, the same is true of your animals. Our pets absorb a variety of toxic substances through the food they eat, the water they drink, the air they breath and the chemicals, vaccinations, medications and supplements that we use on them and expose them to everyday.
We are all inundated each and everyday in the news about the toxins in our environment and the effects that they play on our health and the health of our animals. Just buying groceries, household cleaners and pet food has become a most daunting task in the past few years. Even though you can’t prevent you and your animals taking in these toxins, there is something you can do to minimize their effect on the body.
The combination of the four elements: water, air, earth and fire created a most amazing mineral in nature. When lava flows into salt and fresh water lakes it creates a mineral called zeolite. These negatively charged minerals (specifically clinoptilolite zeolite) have a unique cage-like structure that naturally draws into it positively charged particles like heavy metals such as mercury, cadmium, lead, aluminum as well as , chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, carcinogens, allergens and some pre-viral components. A biochemist recently discovered a way to clean out the ‘cages’ of naturally mined zeolites and ‘activate’
So, in getting ready to sign in on a message board about your pet’s health, maybe you should ask yourself a few questions first: Do I avoid walking my dog on golf courses or grassy areas where there may be pesticides or fertilizers?
