Hong Kong - February 25, 2008
As a late addition to the Inno Design Tech Expo 2007, which enjoyed 36,000 visitors, the UltraFuture preview event alone drew some 5,000 visitors from around the world. Compelling presentations, feature exhibits and a sleekly designed space attracted curious visitors. The stunning Nautilus loudspeaker by Bower and Wilkins and the visionary Cybertectural models provided by James Law Cybertecture International were highlights of the exhibit.
Often drawn by a particular exhibit or presentation, many visitors returned to attend multiple presentations. "I came [to the UF booth] to watch one presentation,"
With world-class professionals from fields as diverse as space exploration, HD video production, architecture and renewable energy, the depth and breadth of knowledge exchange was exceptional. Doug Woodring, CEO of Submedia Advertising Ltd. and invited speaker, reflected on his experience at UltraFuture, “I found the interest level [in] our projects to be amazing, and dialogue with others in the audience has since progressed to other opportunities regarding the use of our technologies and their specific projects.” When approached about the knowledge exchange at the event, UltraFutureWorld President, David Harris commented, "Many of the presentations and topics developed into a wider, synergetic dialogue amongst the speakers and with the audience. New friendships were made, new insights gained, and new collaborations born. That is what UltraFuture is all about."
Pico International partnered with UltraFutureWorld to design and construct the futuristic space. "We knew that the UltraFuture preview would create a lot of excitement and energy," commented Brad Warrington, Senior Vice President of Business Development with Pico. "But the results were better than we ever dreamed. More than 6 weeks after the event, people are still talking about it."
The Hong Kong Trade Development Council was also pleased with the success of the UltraFuture preview. When asked about the UF preview, Ching Hung Lai, Head of Customer Service with the HKTDC remarked, "It created a much needed link between the design and technology components at the Expo, as well as highlighting innovation in today's world. We look forward to working with UltraFuture again in 2008."
So what's next for UltraFutureWorld?
