Wendy Eaton, director/writer – “it was a very low budget, but hopefully the strong message on humanity shines through. We are becoming such a “me” society that we forget that there are people out there that are still being mistreated and abused for the way they look or because of other misfortunes. Our common thread is that we all want to be valued or to feel valued. It’s great for children, however, I left the Dove Foundation no choice but to put a 12+ rating due to some violence. I had to have some adventure and drama in it, but subdued it. I’ve had younger audiences as young as 8 years old watch and enjoy it, so parents need to use their own discretion. “
Wendy is working on a much bigger indie film to be shot in Virginia called “To Pull a Stunt” about a local stunt double, Lillie (a Brit), who joins a major action-packed film production already in progress. She replaces a legendary stunt woman after she suddenly quits due to a family emergency. Lillie has big shoes to fill for being such a young pint size stunt player. Unfortunately, she is automatically labeled a novice amongst the production crew and therefore they challenge her at every turn, especially the second unit director/stunt coordinator. One of the actresses that befriends her notices that the stunts are becoming a little too real and worries that Lillie is in danger. To pull a stunt soon appears to be an act of survival. (This American film has a British flare, with two of the main characters being British).
“To Pull a Stunt” is considered in pre-production stages and is tentatively slated for a 2009 production shoot in Virginia USA. Check soon for casting information.
