Master Licensee Kevin Alft has named Emmett Harrison as an ActionCOACH Business Coach in Texas.
His office will be located in Cedar Park, Texas, and his primary target area will be North Austin and the cities in the two counties directly north of Austin, including those in Williamson and Bell counties.
Prior to becoming an ActionCOACH, Harrison worked in the electronics industry where he served as a purchasing manager, materials manager and director of supply chain business processes for multiple sites in North and South America. He managed the purchasing department for a corporate manufacturing unit with revenues of approximately $2 billion.
“I led the development of an effective supplier management process, including methods of supplier selection, stratification, development, measurement and management and approaches to relationship building and contract negotiation strategies,”
Harrison was instrumental in serving as interim materials manager in Brazil for a site in crisis; he addressed and resolved critical business process failures.
In his previous career, Harrison worked with small business units in assessing their processes and helping them improve results.
“For me, ActionCOACH is a great opportunity to build on that experience,”
Tired of corporate life in which he has not been able to see much benefit, Harrison decided to join ActionCOACH.
“ActionCOACH gives me the opportunity to take charge of my own results in ways that I cannot in the corporate world,” he said.
An alumnus of the Texas Executive MBA program and the University of Texas Longhorn Alumni Band, he is also actively involved with the First Baptist Church in Austin, Texas.
