Retirement Income Guide Swaps Fidelity VIP Overseas R (FAVOS) for Lazard Retirement Emerging Markets

In the latest issue of Fidelity Independent Adviser’s Retirement Income Guide (http://store.fidelityindependentadviser.com/retirement.html) publisher Don Dion announced that he would be selling Fidelity VIP Overseas R (FAVOS) from two of his model portfolios, and buying Lazard Retirement Emerging Markets (FNRLC) and Fidelity VIP Strategic Income (FAVSI) with the proceeds.

In the VIP Annuity Growth Portfolio Dion sold FAVOS and bought FNRLC to give investors exposure to emerging markets. “Emerging markets are a great way for a more aggressive investor to capture higher returns,” Dion said. Fidelity VIP Healthcare was the strongest performing fund in the VIP Annuity Growth Portfolio this past month, rising 1.92%. In the VIP Annuity Growth and Income Portfolio Dion sold FAVOS and bought FAVSI with the proceeds.
