ActionCOACH hosted the largest gathering of Business Coaches in the world at its Global Conference held at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa in Newport Beach, California.
At its annual awards dinner, ActionCOACH recognized Business Coach Thom Finn with its “Best Client Results” award due to the success his clients earned as a result of his coaching. Finn is a partner/owner of the Lancaster -- Harrisburg office of ActionCoach
The numbers that determined Finn’s award showed his clients are growing faster than their counterparts in their specific industries and markets. In presenting the award, ActionCOACH CEO Brad Sugars pointed out Finn’s capacity to grow revenue.
“Thom is a great strategist and his record of increasing revenue for his clients is remarkable; he is well-known for his client-retention rates,” he said. “This is the second time he has won this award and it is an honor to again present it to him.”
Earlier this spring Finn was named the Best Coach in North America for client results and beat out the finalist from Europe, Asia, and Australia at the global conference held in Newport Beach California last week.
“It had just sunk in that my clients and I had the best results on the continent, so being the best coach in the world is really going to take some getting used to.” explains Finn. “Truthfully, what was secretly rewarding was to putting Lancaster/Harrisburg on the map into the league of coaches from London, Sydney and Hong Kong.”
He was certified as an action business coach in 2003 and has worked with 106 businesses since then. “It helped that I normally am invited in to work with a business to improve their revenues and profits and the objectivity I bring as an outsider let me easily identify those core problems holding them back. I think our coaches to tackle the less measurable challenges like human resources or strategic planning for example – the clients who aren’t necessarily looking for council on profitability -find it harder to compete for such recognition.”
Finn, who does not specialize in any one industry, coached his wide range of clients to improve their bottom line profitability by 31% on average in 2007. “I wonder if I can get 15 or so duplicates of the award may because I really need to share this honor with my clients who worked just as hard for their success as I do.”
He has successfully completed the rigorous ActionCOACH certification program, and is also qualified to advise his clients on the other components of a long-term business plan – the financial, operations, and human resources strategies.
