Northern Services Group (NSG) announced today the launch of their Outpatient Rehabilitation Services Program at Northern Metropolitan, offering clinic and home based physical, occupational and speech therapy services.
"We have long felt that outpatient rehabilitation was the natural next step as we expand the continuum of community based services that Northern Services Group offers,” said Gedelia Klein, LNHA of Northern Services Group. According to Klein, NSG will now bring the same quality care and rehabilitative expertise they have been providing their residents for years directly to new client’s homes reaching a wider population who may not otherwise have access to rehabilitative services. The clinic will service individual’s who do not require inpatient therapy and are able to leave their homes.
Some of the physical and occupational therapies include modalities for pain reduction, home environment modifications, fine and gross motor rehabilitation, and adaptive equipment training. Speech therapy addresses cognitive therapy and retraining, Dysphasia evaluation and treatment for swallowing disorders, and voice therapy for speech and language disorders.
