Calvin Richardson performs with Musiq Soulchild

TUSCALOOSA, AL—Calvin Richardson will be performing with Musiq Soulchild this Friday, Aug. 22, 2008 at the Bama Theatre in Tuscaloosa, AL. Doors will open at 8:00 p.m.

With the recent release of his third album When Love Comes (Numo Records/Shanachie Entertainment), Calvin has been preparing for a full performance line up. He last performed at the BB King Blues Club in New York City on Aug. 16, 2008. The Monroe, NC native says that he is reintroducing himself and highlighting the vintage soul sound. “I wanted to reconnect with the Curtis Mayfield sound, the Betty Wright sound, and put it into a contemporary context.”

After a five year hiatus, Calvin shows his faithful fanbase that he has not gone anywhere—all while new fans become acquainted with the self-proclaimed New Soul Prince. It’s been a long time coming, but CRich is back and in full effect! The Live performance with Musiq Soulchild will prove to make true R&B lovers fall in love with the sense of soul all over again.
