Nassau Bay, Texas – Celebrating the many talented musicians of Houston’s Bay Area, the TAACCL Live Music Series is entering its fourth season. Director Lisa Hamilton sees these performances as opportunities to highlight the spectrum of American works in various genres: jazz, blues, folk, world music, and a little bit of poetry and spoken word added for diversity. "There is something for everyone in this series," she said.
The TAACCL Live Music Series is underwritten by generous corporate sponsorships from Bay Area corporations such as Clear Lake Infiniti, Lockheed, Boeing, United Space Alliance (USA) and Jacobs. Sponsorships are still being sought for the 2008-2009 season.
During the series, Open Mike events will be held twice monthly, featuring Jazz and Blues rock. Appealing to the Bay Area’s upscale, educated music aficionado, the series also includes original music by local singers/songwriters, backed by a professional “house” band.
Local and regional songwriters, musicians and performing groups – professional or not - are encouraged to “jam” with the house band, showcasing the wide range of talent found in Houston’s Bay Area.
Corporate underwriters enjoy a comprehensive sponsorship package, including special Sponsorship events recognizing each corporation and its employees.
TAACCL Live Music Series performances begin at 7pm. Wine, beer and refreshments are available and Divine Wine will offer a special wine tasting session.
