NEW YORK — Time is a gift and thanks to a new collector’s item debuting at this week’s New York International Gift Fair, you can give it. The New York Minute Collection is a memento that allows consumers to buy their very own New York Minute.
The New York Minute was designed to allow collectors and consumers alike the ability to purchase a moment in time in the form of a unique clock. Each minute can only be owned by one person, meaning no other individual can own a minute if it has already been purchased. All New York Minute clocks are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and a unique serial number.
“The clock is a one-of-a-kind collectible. It is a beautiful collector’s edition that comes with a certificate of authenticity. It is your very own New York Minute,” New York Minute President Robert Moore said.
According to Moore, anyone can purchase a New York Minute from any point in time. Minutes are available from past years and may be reserved for future years. This means customers can collect a minute that is unique to them. For example, an individual may want to purchase a New York Minute in recognition of a birthday or wedding day.
Currently New York Minute is in discussions with the New York Giants to award the team a New York Minute in honor of their 2008 Super Bowl Win. Additionally, talks are underway with the New York Yankees to honor the team with their very own minute in recognition of their new stadium, Moore said.
