Azad University (IR) in Oxford is pleased to announce the availability of places for this September 2008 for students who have not yet been cleared by UCAS or any other university’s admission office in the UK. Azad is looking for students who have the zeal to learn and study and who are ready to surpass their current limitations.
International students are invited to apply for the pre-university Foundation Programme (Science Pathway: Engineering, Computing, or Science) or BSc. in Computing Studies. These courses are validated and awarded by Kingston University London.

The courses that will start from October 13 2008 are (a)pre-university Foundation Programme (the Science Pathway) and (b)BSc in Computing Studies. These courses are unique and special in terms of experience, quality, value, support and award.
Foundation Programme (IFP)
The International Foundation Programme (IFP) is designed for students who would like to enter into one of three fields of specialisation, i.e. Engineering, Computing, and Science. Students who successfully complete the course will be awarded a Certificate of Higher Education by Kingston University and will be qualified to transfer directly into selected degree programmes either at Kingston University, Azad University (IR) in Oxford or other UK universities. In order to fulfill the course objectives successfully, the students must have achieved a minimum level of 6.0 in the IELTS exam by the end of the course. They must also have a competency in Maths, Study Skills and Information Technology, as well as in their main academic subject and other related subject areas required by particular undergraduate programmes.
BSc in Computing Studies
The BSc in Computer Science is on offer this year by Azad University (IR) in Oxford in collaboration with Kingston University - a leading London university. Students are expected to attend the first year of study at Azad University followed by two years of study at Kingston University. Students will study the software aspect of computing and also develop an understanding of the underlying hardware. Analysis, design and programming are essential topics, together with subjects such as databases, data communications and operating systems. The course introduces students to the business world and provides them with the skills needed to operate in a professional environment. Students will be learning to apply theory to solve problems in an industrial or business context. The degree is accredited by the British Computer Society and awarded by Kingston University.
Other Programmes:
Azad University also offers other types of programmes targeting different segments of the educational sectors.
