Fashion Chicago is a FREE online magazine that’s geared specifically toward professional modern women, with a focus on beauty, accessories, celebrity trends, and style. Each issue is packed with beauty and hairstyling tips, the latest fashion trends, and the scoop on what the stars are wearing.
Fashion Chicago magazine was released in July 2008 and is a paperless magazine that is very ecologically friendly. Just imagine all the paper and trees we are saving. For example, the traditional magazines have about 350 pages of approximately 50,000 copies of each issue that weighs about 2.5 pounds. It seems not be cost effective because most of the time these magazines end up in the waste bin. If you keep these issues, they pile up very fast causing another waste problem. It just makes sense to use less paper and preserve the environment. Fashion Chicago believes that we will inspire more readership by promoting clean living and a green environment.
We also featured the First two Eco-friendly fashion designers in the city of Chicago Lara Miller and Kristin Roysnek Hassan whose collection is Eco-friendly. They use fabrics and materials that are organic such as Bamboo. For example, Lara Miller’s collection is versatile. Her clothing is rooted in geometry that highlights human form. These original hand-woven bamboo, buttery soft jersey pieces can be twisted, wrapped, and flipped in many directions to display an entirely new garment. Her main themes are style, comfort, and versatility. Kristin Hassan’s collection is comprised of organic cotton jersey dresses accented with her signature brass zippers and gold lining. These magnificent designer assisted in launching our magazine.
We are the First paperless magazine in the city of Chicago. The launching of this periodical was inspired by Chicago Mayor’s Richard J. Daley’s commitment to developing a strong fashion community.
Fashion Chicago is an online magazine filled with the Eco-friendly fashion and beauty trends which are supported by our editorials, articles, and other features. Fashion Chicago is a paperless magazine and supports green living.
