Annapolis, Maryland Waterfront Sold Homes in July, 2008

Aug. 18, 2008 - PRLog -- There were a total of seven waterfront homes that sold in Annapolis during the month of July, 2008.

Of those homes, the least expensive sale was of 2900 Shipmaster Way, #112, a two bedroom, two bath condo located in Heritage Harbor.  Originally priced at $277,000, it sold on July 25, 2008 after 71 days on the market for $253,000.  The list price at the time of sale was $267,000.  The unit, built in 1986, measures 1,046 square feet, is located on the first floor, has some recent updates and fronts South River.

The most expensive sale was 3180 Harness Creek Road, a home measuring 3,370 square feet and situated on 4.84 acres.  The home boasts 4 bedrooms, 4 full baths and two half baths.  Fronting Aberdeen Creek, it has a five foot wide pier, a sandy shore and over eight feet of water depth for larger boats.  Since the home is situated on a larger lot, it has more than 790 feet of waterfront.  It was priced at $2,960,000 throughout the listing period and sold on July 15, 2008 for $2,500,000.

“Although there has been a real estate slowdown, waterfront homes remain desirable to buyers,” said Jesse Barron, an agent with The Barron Team of Keats & Co. The sale information was retrieved from MRIS, the country’s largest MLS that covers the majority of Maryland, all of Washington, DC, as well as parts of Virginia and West Virginia.
