RJF Agencies, Inc.’s 17th annual Carrier Appreciation Golf Tournament, held earlier this month, raised $10,557 for Angelspace, a non-profit 501(c)(3) end-of-life care facility for terminally ill Chippewa Valley, Wis., residents.
“We believe strongly in Angelspace’s mission,” said Tom Ziemann, Executive Vice President, RJF Agencies. “End of life is a difficult time for patients and their families, who often can’t care for the patient in their own homes. Angelspace provides that opportunity. We are honored and touched that so many of the insurance carriers we work with donated to the cause.”
Angelspace opened in January 2008 in a renovated Eau Claire, Wis., Victorian home and has provided care for 23 patients to date. They have the capability to provide a home-like environment for up to six patients and their families at any given time. Their team of professional care-givers, including registered nurses, provides medical care 24 hours a day, and full-time cooks and other staff keep the patient comfortable. Angelspace’s patients are referred by local hospices, hospitals, social workers, family members and others.
The RJF Agencies golf tournament was initiated 18 years ago by Tom Ziemann of the RJF Agencies Eau Claire office.
