PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 16, 2008 -
Stepping into the limelight, the European Fencing Federation Congress and the European Fencing Championship (ECF) on July 6, 2008 made great strides when new rules and regulations were set out by the European Fencing Confederation and found full support and approval by all national fencing federations around the globe.

“The European Fencing Confederation has made a significant step to the realization of its tasks and goals,” says Alisher Usmanov, president of the ECF and founder of the International Charity Fund “For Future of Fencing” (www.fencing-future.com).

It was through a unanimous vote that the national federations and the EFC accepted the consolidation and acceptance of the initiatives that will play a significant role in the advancement of fencing.

The EFC is responsible for facilitating international popularization of fencing and strives to raise the sport to a higher level worldwide.
