The pay and play attraction, which has been named 'Mole in one' is a joint venture project between LEGOLAND Windsor and WLG, which will operate on a profit share basis. During busy periods the attraction can be broken down into two 9-hole courses to increase capacity. One of the 9-hole courses will be fully wheelchair accessible.
Vicky Brown, general manager of LEGOLAND Windsor commented: “Although LEGOLAND is specifically targeted at 3-12 year olds, we required an attraction which would be fun, interactive and suitable for the whole family to enjoy. Adventure golf is an increasingly popular attraction and as we have previously worked with Western Log Group we know the quality of their work is excellent.”
Mike James, leisure sales director at Western Log Group commented: “This pay and play attraction is another example of where we have entered into a joint venture with a client, fully funding the attraction with a view to profit sharing. This has worked very well for both the client and Western Log Group in the past by offering clients the opportunity to gain an attraction without necessarily all the upfront expense. We are confident the scheme with LEGOLAND Windsor will be equally as successful.”
The attraction is located next to Extreme Challenge ride in DUPLO Land. It opened in July in time for the school summer holidays. The attraction is DDA compliant.
