Flag Hoisting at AIT
The 62nd Independence Day was commemorated at Adithya Institute of Technology. The function began at 09.00 AM with the audience assembly. The audience headed by the faculty members of AIT included the entire construction crew of AIT and a few locals.
The programme began with the silent invocation followed by the traditional flag hoisting. Our Physical Director conferred the Guard of Honour to our Principal Dr.N.Kathiravan. After accepting the honour, Dr.N.Kathiravan hoisted the national flag. The flag salute was done by the audience and the flag song was rendered by our Physical Director D.Saravanamoorthy. The audience was asked to remember the struggle for independence and the spirit of independence. The National Anthem and sweets distribution followed to end the simple function.
This was the first Independence Day Celebrations at AIT and also the first of all our celebrations. It was a simple and memorable one which showcased our USP of voluntary participation.
