PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 15, 2008 -
“Paymaster“ guarantees top security in handling credit card data
By meeting the PCI DSS standard, easycash offers the greatest level of security in the area of e-payments. The highest safety criteria must be met when handling sensitive data that are collected when conducting credit card transactions. PCI DSS licensing covers technical and organisational security when processing and transferring card data.
Online shop customers using Paymaster can pay by direct debit or credit card.  The easycash online payment software Paymaster guarantees maximum security and fulfils the strict requirements of the PCI Security Standards Council. This is certified annually by accredited auditors.
“With the commitment to have these high standards supervised by accredited auditors from leading international companies, easycash is setting the tone on the web and in e-commerce”, says Marcus W. Mosen, CEO of the easycash Holding Gmbh in Ratingen, Germany. “The PCI DSS certification is one data security measure by which we can strengthen our position as a national and leading international service provider in the area of cashless systems.“
easycash guarantees top security: SSL communication and back-ups by means of replicated data in two data processing centres.
The Paymaster system is hosted centrally. Transaction data from the relevant online shop is transferred from the customer’s server to two data processing centres, whereby easycash will ensure data back-up. All data will be stored separately in two unconnected data processing centres, as with POS payments through the easycash network. In the event of a system going down in one of the data processing centres, easycash’s customers will still be guaranteed complete access to data. Data transfer is encrypted using the leading SSL security standard (Secure Socket Layer Standard).
Successful market expansion
“We are very satisfied with the completely positive reaction of the market to easycash’s e-payment system Paymaster“, Mosen emphasised. “We look upon the expansion of our market share on the web as a natural development of our successful portfolio in the field of POS transactions. On the way to becoming a full-service provider for card-based payments at a national and international level, the Paymaster product has already proved to be a further milestone”.

Since 1992, easycash has been developing highly marketable solutions for cashless card-based payment transactions. As Germany’s largest neutral payment service provider and transactions processor, the company offers a complete range of one-stop services: with four business divisions – network operation, terminal services, payment services and card solutions – the corporate group covers all relevant areas of card-based payment solutions.

easycash’s product portfolio includes user-friendly terminals, high-performance solutions for transaction execution with specifically developed ancillary services. As Germany’s leading provider, the company supports all standard payment processes and enables these to be individually configured. The one-stop shop concept is rounded off by extensive services and customised solutions.

easycash operates its own card management and clearing system. This enables individual card solutions to be seamlessly integrated into an existing POS infrastructure to operate as fully-fledged payment systems. The takeover of the business unit, Loyalty Solutions, from Experian Germany in September 2007, now easycash Loyalty Solutions GmbH, meant easycash was able to further develop its position in the German market for customer cards and the processing of these.

The corporate group employs over 340 staff at three offices and runs some 173,000 terminals. Payment transactions processed by the company in 2007 totalled 886 million transactions, of which 743 million were for its own customers with 143 million registered for contracted services. With a total of 389 million transactions, easycash is the market-leader for electronic cash and Maestro payment processes. The company processes a total payment transaction volume of approximately 51 billion Euros.
