New Album Release from Listening Earth: "The Blue Mountains", Pure Nature Sounds
Premier nature sound recording label Listening Earth releases its new album for digital download, entitled "The Blue Mountains".
Castlemaine, Victoria, July 29, 2008 - Nature sounds recorded in the Blue Mountains National Park feature in Listening Earth's latest album release: "The Blue Mountains".
The recording begins with the sounds of birdsong echoing up from the depths of a gorge in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney. Containing the sounds of Lyrebirds, Whipbirds, Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos, and the bubbly calls of Honeyeaters, this hour-long audio album takes the listener on a sonic journey to birdsong-filled Blue Gum forests, hidden valleys with cascading streams, and spectacular open ridgetops where Silvereyes feed among banksias and heaths.
Produced by nature recordist Andrew Skeoch, and with photography by Sarah Koschak, the album is ideal for relaxing listening, or as an evocative souvenir of one of Australia's most well-known holiday destinations.
Listening Earth's customers come from all over the world, and love the relaxing and beautiful albums that Andrew and Sarah create. One customer wrote: "Thanks very much for doing what you do. Every reminder we have of the beauty of the natural world is precious, because it offers an invitation to care for the environment, which in turn is an invitation to care for ourselves. That's a gift."
The album is available exclusively for digital download from Listening Earth's online shop: http://www.listeningearth.com.au/
Audio samples, photographs, and more information about this album, or any of Listening Earth's extensive catalogue of nature sound albums, can be found at the Listening Earth website: http://www.listeningearth.com.au/
Listening Earth:
Established in 1993 by Andrew Skeoch and Sarah Koschak, Listening Earth has become recognised as one of the world's premier nature sound recording labels. Andrew and Sarah began with an evocative range of Australian recordings, including the best-selling "A Morning in the Australian Bush". In more recent years they have been extending their work overseas, embarking on field expeditions to document the exotic nature of India, the Pacific Islands and South-east Asia. When not in the field, Andrew and Sarah live and work from their bush home/studio, which operates solely on solar power, in central Victoria.
