CASCADE MANOR IS NOW AN ACCREDITED CONTINUING CARE RETIREMENT COMMUNITY
Accreditation by the CCAC earned in a yearlong review process

(Eugene, OR) –  Cascade Manor, a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Eugene, Oregon, and an affiliate of Pacific Retirement Services, Inc. (PRS), announced today that it has been accredited by the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission (CCAC), the nation's only accrediting body for CCRCs. To gain accreditation, Cascade Manor underwent a rigorous and voluntary yearlong process that involved self-evaluation by the organization’s staff, residents, and Board of Directors, and a meticulous on-site review by trained CCAC evaluators.

“This is an important milestone for Cascade Manor,” says Brian Young, Cascade Manor’s executive administrator, “one that we’ve been planning since 1996 when Cascade Manor became an affiliate of PRS. Accreditation is a PRS standard, but it is also an industry “seal of approval,” showing prospective residents that Cascade Manor has reached industry-generated standards of excellence.”

CCAC accreditation is awarded to Continuing Care Retirement Communities that meet or exceed its standards of excellence in three critical areas: governance and administration; financial resources and disclosure; and resident life, health, and wellness. Following accreditation, communities must submit annual financial and progress reports to the CCAC to prove ongoing compliance with CCAC standards, and after five years of full compliance, they undergo another yearlong evaluation to seek re-accreditation.

Cascade Manor has been expanding and renovating its campus, adding 50 Garden Apartments, a state-of-the-art Fitness Center with indoor pool and spa, and a new Rooftop Solarium, and renovating its exterior, the Dining Room, community spaces, and Health Care Center.

Cascade Manor is Eugene’s only Continuing Care Retirement Community, and it is one of only seven accredited CCRCs in the state of Oregon.
