Prime Minister of Cape Verde stays at Anfi Emerald Club, Gran Canaria

The Cape Verde Prime Minister, Jose Maria Pereira Neves has been staying at the Anfi Emerald Club in Anfi Tauro Golf & Luxury Resorts, during his recent visit to Gran Canaria.

PR Log (Press Release)Aug 14, 2008 – The Prime Minister arrived on Tuesday and stayed in a deluxe penthouse overlooking the resorts championship 18-hole golf course. During his stay he met with Cape Verde’s consulate official in Gran Canaria, with whom the Prime Minister has had a long and successful association. He also attended numerous meetings and official functions with government officials, local business people, and Canarian politicians.

A female companion as well as his personal security accompanied the Prime Minister during his weeklong stay. The Prime Minister enjoyed dinner at the La Cascada restaurant in Anfi Emerald Club; he also dined at Restaurant Gran Bahia situated at Anfi del Mar, the antecedent resort of Anfi Tauro Golf & Luxury Resorts and the winner of the CNBC European Property Awards 2008.

Jose Maria Pereira Neves said of this stay at the Anfi Emerald Club, “I absolutely love this hotel, the area reminds me of Cape Verde, and of course I love Cape Verde! This island has towering mountains and a landscape that is full of life. This hotel has touched my soul and I would like to offer my warmest regards to all of the staff at Anfi Emerald Club”.
