Ponton is the vice president of human resources at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a 777 bed teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School, located in the heart of Boston's renowned Longwood Medical Area. BWH is recognized internationally for its excellence in patient care, outstanding reputation in biomedical research and its commitment to educating and training physicians, research scientists and other health care professionals. Lisa has been vice president of human resources since 2005 and is responsible for overseeing staff recruitment and development, payroll services, evaluating and reporting performance and implementing policies and procedures. Lisa is admitted to the American Bar Association, holds a JD in law from the University of Pittsburgh and is an expert in employment law. She has more than two decades of experience in human resources acquired from senior level positions within high profile organizations. Prior to her appointment at BWH, Lisa served for eight years as senior director of human resource programs at Vanderbilt University and Vanderbilt University Medical Center and as director of employee relations for Magee Women's Hospital. She shows equal diligence to her personal pursuits and adopts an active role within the community, supporting several organizations that benefit women’s services. away from the office, Lisa enjoys playing golf, reading and traveling.
