Entrepreneur Paula Parker
Dallas, TX – Entrepreneur and Artist Paula Parker, owner of Paula Parker Designs, Austin, TX, promises to bring a lively, variety of original art displays to the Metrocon 08, Interior Design Trade Expo/Convention in Dallas, Texas this week. The event runs Thursday through Saturday, Aug. 14 -16, 2008 and draws hundreds of interior designers, decorators artists, art dealers, art investors and distributors from all over the world.
Metrocon is the nation's largest regional trade show for the Interior Design industry, merging three professional organizations including the Texas Chapter of American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and The International Interior Design Association of Oklahoma.
“I am excited to spotlight the new Paula Parker Designs publication Art in Austin… the registry (Volume One),” said Parker. “I also plan to exhibit the original canvas art of Austin Artist ‘Matchi,’ including a Stevie Ray Vaughan portrait, of which I have posted on our website at: http://www.paulaparkerdesigns.com, she said. Attendees will enjoy original 3D artwork from her "Prologue" collection, which is also located at Parker’s website.

antique documents as well as excerpts from my upcoming novel,” she said. “The novel is
one I hope to have adapted for screenplay, reminiscent of Forrest Gump.”

Paula Parker is a native Texan, born and raised in suburban Houston. After graduating from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing, Paula embarked on a career in retail store management with Foley’s Department Store and later, with Coach Leatherware where she gained practical experience in business management, design, advertising and publishing.
In 1992, Parker started her first design business, specializing in the decorative arts. In 2004, she relocated to Austin, Texas where she currently lives, and launched Paula Parker Designs while creating the decorative art collections, “Prologue”
