Apache Bike Builder Invites Local Motorcycle Industry And Bikers To The Celebration Of Spirit

Aug. 10, 2008 - PRLog -- Daniel Sanchez has invited numerous local motorcycle industry business owners and even competitors to join in supporting the Native American Chamber of Commerce and the National Native American Co-Operative in raising funds and awareness for Native American issues and the expansion of the Native American Achievement Centers Project.

Image Makers Advertising, The Biker Guide Magazine, Main Street Merchants’ Association and the Full Moon Saloon have joined together to host the fundraiser event. It will begin at 11:00am at Main Street Daytona Beach, FL on Saturday, August 23rd, 2008. Attendees can register for the motorcycle ride, enjoy entertainment, Main Street food and shopping, donate to the charity and enter raffles to win prizes to include a 3 Day/2 Night getaway, Native American Art and a prize package from Bruce Rossmeyer’s Destination Daytona. The Celebration of Spirit themed motorcycle will be on display, along with several other Cut Throat Customs motorcycles.  The ride, led by Daniel Sanchez will leave at 2:00pm and continues to Vans Skate Park on International Drive in Orlando, FL. to attend the 2nd Annual Native Skate Jam.   The first 250 registered riders will receive welcome bags. All proceeds go to the Achievement Centers.

The Native American Chamber of Commerce and the National Native American Co-Operative are hosting a four day Trans Global Summit - The Celebration of Spirit-Path of the Warrior event, at the Coronado Springs Disney Resort located in Orlando, FL..  Beginning at the resort on August 20th, 2008 and continuing through to August 23rd, 2008, the Trans Global Summit will feature some of the most prominent names in television, art, the motorcycle industry, music, politics, and business.

Daniel Sanchez will also showcase his custom motorcycles at the Cultural Trade Fair at the Coronado Springs Resort beginning August 20th which will feature Native American artisans, sand painters, silversmiths and more.  Fred Snyder, Director of the International Native American Co-Operative, Tucson, AZ will bring unique hand-made crafts from over 300 Tribal Nations of North America.

All Native American business owners are encouraged to join the Indian Talking Stick Supplier Diversity Forum on day two.  Native American Business Owners will learn how to become a supplier to the Federal Government/Department of Defense and corporations such as IBM, Marathon Oil, and Northrop Grumman.  These major corporations and others spend billions of dollars annually procuring products and services from Native American owned businesses.  This event will be moderated by Marilyn Johnson, Vice President, Market Development, IBM.

The four-day Transglobal Summit includes many noted speakers. Keynote speaker and author, Dr. Joseph P. Kalt is the Ford Foundation Professor of International Political Economy at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Dr. Kalt directs the Harvard Project on American Indian Economic Development.   Irene Bedard, Native American Actress, Dr. Will Moreau Goins, renowned Native American Author and Advocate and Russell & Pearl Means Co-Founders of the American Indian Movement, Pat Spears, Co-Founder & President of the Intertribal Council on Utility Policy and member of the Executive Board of Native Energy will all speak to their experience and advice regarding Native American issues.  Dr. Michael Epitropoulos, PhD in Nutrition, Chiropractor, and Dr. Arnold Vera, Board Certified in Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism, are co-founders of the Vera Endo Wellness Institute will speak on the health of Native Americans.

Red Feather Woman known as Rose Red Elk, a 2006 Native American Music Award Winner, Kevin Locke and John Two Hawks, Award Winning Flutists, Joanne Shenandoah, Musician and Visionary and the Aztec Fire Dancers will all contribute to the event’s entertainment.

The Achievement Centers’ focus is to improve access to digital information and technology on low-income remote Native American reservations. These technology centers are being sponsored to help to improve educational and employment opportunities, address imbalances in resources and skills and promote self-sufficiency. An Achievement Center provides free access to all ages. It can be a centerpiece for job skills development, a source for life long learning, a path to opportunity through education, and a vehicle for economic improvement. Equipment, curriculum and training are provided by corporate partners in conjunction with the Native American Chamber of Commerce.
