The Entire Earth and Sky: Views of Antarctica
Author and Fulbright scholar Leslie Carol Roberts will be the guest speaker on Tue. 12 Aug on Athena Isle in Second Life starting at 12 p.m. PST.
Athena Isle sponsors weekly meetings to provide Second Life with the opportunity to meet authors and experts in an intimate roundtable format. The noon Tuesday meetings are held at Athena Isle HQ.
Roberts is the author of the upcoming book "The Entire Earth and Sky: Views on Antarctica" (Nebraska 2008) and will discuss her experiences as a writer in Antactica.
She was the first Fulbright Fellow in Antarctic Studies in the world and has delivered talks and papers on her interdisciplinary work worldwide.
Second Life residents will also be able to view images of Antarctica from Roberts' personal collection.
