Spellman China Relocates to Larger Facility

Originally established in 2004 as a service and sales support operation with four employees, Spellman China has experienced solid growth over the past three years. The new location encompasses 1,569m2(16,888 SF), and will house engineering, assembly, test, repair, sales, and administration.

The ability to trade and manufacture in China is a major step forward in Spellman’s global strategy. Situated within the Yangtze River Delta region, an area recognized for an abundance of up-and-coming engineering talent, as well as a mature supply chain infrastructure, Spellman China is well situated to produce high quality and cost competitive high voltage solutions.

According to Joseph Zhou, Spellman China’s General Manager, Spellman’s goal is to make the Suzhou location Spellman’s "global manufacturing base for high volume Monoblock® X-Ray Generators, with an anticipated capacity of several thousand units per year of high performance, reliable X-ray sources."
