Aug. 7, 2008 - PRLog -- 7000 Miles, 23 States, 3 weeks from New York to Seattle via Texas!

Driving Coast to Coast, from New Jersey to Seattle via Texas, the “Total Timber Tour” as it has been dubbed, will cover over 7000 miles and cross 23 state lines. The trip will take 21 days.

“There are currently 116 operating wooden coasters in the US and we have ridden all of them except 9” says Adrian Whitcombe. “We have been riding wooden coasters in the US for 20 years now, and we only need to ride the remaining 9 to complete the set” However, with unconquered rides spread from New Jersey, to Southern Alabama and Seattle, this is not a regular vacation.

The trip has its own dedicated web site www.coaster2coaster.com where a daily blog and progress map will allow readers to follow the trip.

Adrian Whitcombe, 45, a retail auditor from Nottingham England has traveled the world riding roller coasters and has ridden over 600. He has also done a solo parachute jump from 2500 feet and is happy with any ride or height, as long as he understands the safety systems first.

Ian Booth, 36, a procurement officer, also from Nottingham England, has also clocked up rides on over 600 different roller coasters. He’s a self confessed adrenaline junkie, having done a tandem skydive from 12000 feet, and many bungee jumps. There is no thrill ride or coaster he won't try, and few he doesn't like.

Coaster2Coaster is a non-profit private web space run by Adrian Whitcombe. The trip is not sponsored by, or connected to, any organization.
