Absolute Media Productions announced the launch of its "Free Wedding Video" contest, which will award one lucky military couple the wedding video of their dreams. Damon Dietz, award winning video producer and president of Absolute Media Productions, will serve as the official contest judge and will hand select the winning couple based on the emotional impact of their written entry.
"Absolute Media Productions created the 'Free Wedding Video' contest to offer one lucky military couple a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have their day captured by our award winning video artists, for free," said Denise Elsasser, vice president, Absolute Media Productions. "We are honored to live in a country proudly served by the men and women of the U.S. Armed forces, and want to show our appreciation."
According to The Knot, the average U.S. wedding in 2008 cost just in excess of $27,800. "Paying for a wedding of this cost can be a daunting task for any young couple, but combine that with the demanding time commitment of serving in the military, and planning a wedding can be near impossible,"
The winning couple will receive an 'Elegant' video package from Absolute Media Productions, valued at $4,695, which includes all day video coverage entailing filming of the bride & groom preparations, ceremony and reception; a highlights montage, award winning cinematic style editing, a Love Story or Wedding Day Edit, and 7 DVD copies of their video. To enter, couples can send an email to contest@absolutemediaproductions.com, and write "Free Wedding" in the subject line. The email should include the couple's names, address, telephone, email, who serves in the military and what branch, wedding date & location, recent photo, as well as their special story of how they met and why having a wedding video is important to them.
Absolute Media Productions will accept contest entries between May 15, 2008 and November 30, 2008 with full contest details available at www.absolutemediaproductions.net/
