Boston – Massachusetts - Entertainment and Corporate Attorney Douglas Kirkpatrick announced today the launch of a new Entertainment web-site called “www.OurFilmProps.com. The Site is an online “Social Community Network,” a gathering place where Artists, Crafters, Antiquers, Furniture Makers, Collectors, Weavers, Designers, and Artisans of all types can gain exposure and visibility for their goods and services in the booming New England Film industry! Filmmakers can use the Site as a one stop shop for Props in their film and tv productions!
Set and Production Designers Prop Masters, Stylists and Set Dressers scour places for perfect pieces for their productions. With www.OurFilmProps.com – movie productions coming to Massachusetts will now have an online resource where they can save time and money and find exactly what they need. Kirkpatrick says that the Site is also useful for set design in commercial and print work. By gathering together on one Site, Members can get paid for either rental or sale of their items, and add an extra stream of revenue to their business! Plus, Members are betting on the chance of getting their work featured in a film, tv production, or commercial, which can catapult their visibility, boost business, and skyrocket sales! Kirkpatrick says it only takes minutes to sign up, before Members are networking, uploading photos and videos to their own personal page and it is very user friendly. The Site also hopes to attract interest from the general public interested in purchasing items from Members – who link to their own web-sites or online stores.
Members can join for free, create their own personal and individualized profile page, upload information about what they do, including photos, videos, music, and even have their own personal Blog. Members can network with other artisans, and people and companies in the production community and entertainment business. “It is a kind of MySpace for film and tv props in the industry,” Kirkpatrick added.
Take Tom and Patricia Hooper of ASL Pewter who are Members of the Site and know the value of having their works featured in a production. The small, family owned company hand-makes stunning, historically correct and functional pewter items. ASL was selected as the pewterers for the HBO miniseries on the life of Founding Father John Adams. They provided over 500 pieces of pewter to be used in scenes ranging from the Adams’ home in Braintree, Massachusetts to the White House dining room, to taverns and the Continental Congress!
Although just launching, the Site is starting to attract attention as people become aware of the opportunities!
