The Chinese team first carried on some training of renewing and adaptability to adapt the local high temperature. After completing several groups of conventional training, the entire unit divides into two groups, one group concentrates practicing placement shot and the spot kick. Regarding to extra practice the spot kick, national sports team head coach Du Yi explaining like this: “Last competition with Australian we lost the spot kick, so this training exercise is mean to strengthen player's belief.” After more than one hour training, all Chinese members encircle, shouting loudly with one voice: “Chinese team, come on!” It demonstrates the soaring fighting spirit and the confidence to win.
In order to deal with the moist hot weather in Doha, Chinese team also specially prepared a secret weapon - - ice vest to cope with high temperature there. It is said that the ice vest is able to cool the players as soon as they wear them. It could reduce the body temperature and renew the physical strength rapidly. In the training gap, Chinese Soccer association Vice-President Xie Yalong also experienced the ice vest.
It is known that each kind of this vest value 3000 Yuan. It is the most advanced technology in the world. It was free provided 20 pieces by a Shenzhen company. In the competition, not only the 11 players enter on the stage will put on cooling vest but also the replacers. Ice vest also arouse the interest of Qatar media reporters.
Du Yi has accepted many domestic and foreign media’s interview afterward. When inquired about whether the high temperature will bring influence for the national team, Du Yi said: “The temperature here is slightly higher than the training place before we came to Doha. Our players are the professional players, should be all-weather.”
When talks about the goal with Qatar’s competition, Du Yi said: “Qatar and Chinese team respectively listed group second and third, Qatar are the major competitors of which we go beyond a line, our goal is take all three points, therefore we will play offensive football meanwhile we must pay attention to the defense.”
