Animal Communications Helps Feline Caregivers Understand and Work With A New Cat

Animal communications allows caregivers to better understand a new cat's feelings, fears and needs, helping make the transition to a new home and family less stressful, fun and successful.

Aug. 4, 2008 - PRLog -- Chicago, IL - Each year more hundreds of thousands of cats and kittens are adopted from local shelters and rescue groups across the nation. In the free ebook Understanding Your New Cat authored by animal communicator and Animal Spirit Healing and Education Network faculty member Joan Levergood, caregivers can better understand their new cat or kitten through the use of animal communications, and make the transition to a new home and family less stressful and more successful.

Communicating with a new cat can help the caregiver understand the cat's unique personality and needs.  If a cat needs more time to adjust, he can be reassured that he can take his time exploring around.  If the caregiver has other animals, it can be helpful to discuss them with the new cat and the changes in the home with the pets already in your family.  You can gain insight into how to make all of the animals in the family more comfortable with the introductions.  This will then help to create a smoother adjustment to the new home and family.

There is almost no limit to the types of information that a caregiver can gain from communicating with a new cat.  Finding out the background of a  cat adopted from a shelter can give valuable insight into how to help the cat overcome any past negative experiences. Through animal communications the caregiver can also learn whether the cat indicates any physical discomfort.  In addition the caregiver can avoid behavior problems by finding out about the likes and dislikes of the new cat.  What are his favorite toys?  What kind of treats does he like?

"Through animal communications, caregivers deepen their relationship with a new cat," said Levergood.  "If you listen carefully to what they are telling you, you can learn much about how they see their world and why they have joined you on your life path."

Levergood teaches Animal Spirit Network's Feline Behavior Study Program which includes Fundamentals of Feline Behavior and Feline Behavior Solutions. Both courses are available as on-demand distance learning courses.

The free ebook Understanding Your New Cat also covers:
--Preparing your home for your new cat
--Bringing your new cat home
--Introducing your new cat to the other family members (spouse, children, other animals)
--How to make your new cat happy
--How to choose the right cat or kitten for the family
