A 15-year-old entrepreneur is attempting to become the youngest #1 best-selling business author and make $100,000 selling it - using the power of the internet.
Stanley Tang, a student from Hong Kong, decided that he wanted to write a book after he was inspired by how everyday people were able to tap into the millions being made online.
"This is not another ebook, it's going to be an actual print book that's going to become available in bookstores worldwide," said Tang, "The goal is to hit the #1 spot on the New York Times best-sellers list."
Having started online since 2001, Tang hopes to use his internet marketing experience and attempt this incredible feat using the power of the internet.
"It's going to be interesting to see how I'm going to use things like social media, viral marketing and virtual book tours to turn my book into a best-seller,"
Tang has already secured a contract with a major New York publisher and expects his new book, eMillions: Behind-The-Scenes Stories of 14 Internet Millionaires, to be released this November 2008.
Mark Joyner, Wall Street Journal best-selling author of Simpleology:
Unlike most of the entrepreneurs who wrote their success story post-achievement, Tang will be documenting his progress in real-time over at his blog.
"I thought people would enjoy seeing firsthand the process of attaining a dream," said Tang, "I wanted to be as transparent as I can, almost as if they can watch over my shoulder and see every step I take."
When asked what he will do with the fame and money should he reach his best-selling author target, Tang said, "After covering the cost for my college education, I'd like to use the money to create a new start-up internet company."
