The Olympics are carded to commence on Friday 8th August 2008, 08.08.08 ... making it an auspicious day linked to the luck of the Asian Calendar.
Everyone is preoccupied with Games and feats in the tradition of the Gods of Olympus and the heroes of Old.
Something else is happening though.
When we started searching for material to do our documentary based on that day, we began to realize that there was much more that marks it as special.
It has magical connotations and is linked to a secret society that claims to be ancient. Rituals have already begun. Some say that this is the day of truth. The details are sketchy but the day is linked with a mythical book.
Coincidental or not, linked with the Olympic circles are the reports of a mysterious symbol appearing – an X lodged inside a circle, and the society has mailed us the document containing the so-called prophesy about the book.
