CINCINNATI, OH. - Allusions, a local hair restoration studio, recently participated in the National Alopecia Areata Foundation conference in Louisville, Kentucky. The conference was held from June 19 through June 22. Allusions was one of several exhibitors showing the latest technologies in hair replacement for sufferers of Alopecia. Alopecia is an autoimmune disease that causes partial and full hair loss.
Allusions showcased their “Amy’s Presence” collection of wigs. These wigs are geared toward those with all stages of Alopecia. Allusions also presented their Cyberhair, which remains the most advanced technology in hair replacement. Allusions presentation was very well received. Money was raised for Kidz Wigz. Allusion’s Kidz Wigz Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children with hair loss.
Jeanne Sheldon, owner of Allusions, participated in the conference. “It was very informative and moving,” said Sheldon. “The conference sponsored camps for children and young adults with Alopecia, as well as support groups for adults affected by the disease.”
Overall, the conference was a success. The Allusions staff found it very informative, and they are eager to pass on their new knowledge and techniques to their customers, as well as anyone interested in learning about hair replacement options.
The National Alopecia Areata Foundation (NAAF) supports research to find a cure or acceptable treatment for Alopecia areata.
